When you were a kid, were there any early activities that might indicate you’d one day become a skydiver?

My grandmother told me that when I was around 8 I told her I wanted to be a skydiver. I don’t remember saying that, but at the time my favorite TV show was Ripcord!, a drama about….

What was the circumstance that led you to the DZ for the first time to make your very first skydive?

Someone I barely knew who is now one of my closest friends, mentioned that he was taking the first jump course the next day, the same day my mother in law was coming to visit. I went with the less frightening option.

What made you want to continue skydiving after your first jump?

I was hanging in the harness at 3,000 feet over Embrun, and came to the realization that I had found what I had been looking for my whole life, and hadn’t even known was missing.

What’s the best / most memorable skydive you’ve ever made?

The first.

What advice would you give to someone thinking about jumping for the first time?
